Blazers For Christ

The Christian Student Center on the Campus of Valdosta State University.

This week at the CSC. Week of April 11, 2010

Just like with school, the closer we get to the end of the semester, the busier things seem to get at the Christian Student Center! Here's what's happening...

Douglas Church of Christ

The Christian Student Center went to the Douglas Church of Christ this past Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010. We had an excellent time. We had lots of Fellowship with the church there and with each other as we drove over and back.

Don spoke, Clayton lead singing, Adam and Kevin both lead prayers, and Mike gave the lesson for the Sunday school class. In total 10 from the Christian Student Center went over to support the Church in Douglas. If you ask any of them I'm sure they will tell you how rewarding the experience was.

We ask that you continue to pray for the works at the Christian Student Center, the Douglas Church of Christ, and Central Avenue Church of Christ. Not only pray but become an active member and help reach our goal of a deeper relationship with God and to expand his kingdom to those who may not know it.

Been a long time.

I just wanted to post a little note to acknowledge I've been slacking off and not posting updates like I should have been.

But we are still going strong at the CSC. We went to Gulf Coast Getaway this past weekend and I think it really helped us kick this year off right. I look forward to the devos and retreats I'll try to get some of that posted up here pretty soon so you all can follow along.

Come join us at the CSC on Wednesday nights.

This week and more at the CSC

The Student Center will NOT meet this week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. However, a special Thanksgiving devo will be held at the Central church this Tuesday evening at 7:00, with a finger food fellowship following. All of you who are still in town are more-than-welcome to come! And don't worry about bringing any food, as there will be plenty!

On Friday night, December 4, we'll have a relaxing evening of food, fun and fellowship at the CSC. Take a break and celebrate the end of classes as we gear-up for finals. We'll start around 6:00, and a meal will be provided.

Finally, on Wednesday evening, December 9, we'll have our annual Finals Breakfast (for dinner!) Jake and Cassie Dasher will be helping with the breakfast again this year.

Take care and have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

Dinner:
spaghetti casserole, salad, garlic bread, pear salad, and dessert.

Dinner @ 6:30pm
Devo @ 7:15pm

I also received the info about Gulf Coast Getaway this week. I will be bringing that in for everyone to read about. I will also be getting pricing together. I hope with some fund raising and maybe some help from the church we can make the cost very low.
